Brian McAteer is a recent addition to the world of Scottish-made Ceramics. After a 45-year career running his own business as a Biomedical Engineer, having never worked in any creative output he was gifted a series of pottery lessons by his children as a retirement gift.
He took to the clay very naturally and decided to raise money for charity through his newfound creativity. The money raised by the sales of his pottery goes to a Paisley-based charity, Accord Hospice, which offers palliative care.
50% of the sales at the Saltwater Gallery will be donated to Accord Hospice along with other money raised by him through running events, sponsored marathons, and various other fundraisers he supports year-round.
